REPAIRS
At Life-Cycles we understand the requirements of Cyclists. Within our standard service package, gears, brakes and bearings are adjusted, the drive is lubed, wheels are trued as best as possible.
Advice is given as to the wear on drive and braking systems. We can assure our customers that with all our service work, matching or higher quality replacement parts are always offered. Mainly we offer Shimano components and the appropriate spares, but other systems can be catered for.
SERVICING
All our repair and service work is completed on a book-in system. We can advise you how fast we can complete your work. Minor work, i.e. Tube replacement, we like to offer 'same-day' when we can.
Estimates on repairs are given free of charge (except some insurance quotations). We do not proceed on work until you have given your authority. Proper maintenance is vital, not only for safety but for the easier running and performance of your machine.
An annual service is a essential but sometimes a mini-service half yearly is a good idea, starting from under £15.00.
FIRST FREE SERVICE
Whenever we supply a new bicycle we thoroughly recommend that you return the bicycle three to four weeks after purchase so we can complete a free check over. It is normal that gears and braking systems 'bed-in' and they can become less responsive. Around 30 minutes will be required and we try to complete this service while you wait.
BIKE BUILDING
Buying a bicycle mail order or boxed can be a nightmare, the dangers can be quite apparent. We do offer a bike building service from £35.00 for your boxed bicycle and we can give advice if required.
INSURANCE REPLACEMENTS
If you have been happy with your old bicycle or with the service we have supplied, let us handle the replacement if you have been unfortunate that it has been stolen or accidently damaged. You do not have to be fobbed off with a replacement coming from hundreds of mile away, and not being properly assembled. For more than 90% of cases you can insist on local supply and Life-Cycles can deliver your new bicycle to your door. All you pay is the policy excess and we do the rest.
GIFT VOUCHERS
Life-Cycles vouchers are available in many denominations and can be re-deemed against cycles or accessories. They cannot be exchanged for cash and change cannot be given if voucher value is less than goods chosen.

POST CODING
Post coding is an effective way of assisting the possible return of your stolen bicycle. In Lowestoft, Great Yarmouth and Halesworth region our Police forces employ a ultra-violet scanner inspection system. Therefore Life-Cycles endorses this method.
It is true that cleaning fluids or solvents can remove UV markers but damage to paintwork and transfers will also result, which is not ideal if you are trying to sell a stolen cycle. The older system of metal stamping can certainly damage paintwork and will most certainly damage aluminium frames.
SAFETY CHECKS
As with our estimate work if you have need for a safety check, possibly before a tour or even a cycling proficiency at school, we are happy to offer a free of charge evaluation.
WHEEL BUILDING
Life-Cycles can offer a professional wheel building service. The main factor is the skill and application of the builder , but the components are also vital. The 'best builder' with poor components equals a poor wheel. Our preference is Mavic rims, Shimano or Campagnolo hubs and D .T spokes.
